Tayo lives in a house overshadowed by a storm. While some days are calm, he constantly watches for the dark clouds, knowing that at any moment, the storm could flare up without warning. He never knows when it will hit, so he tries desperately to control it, using every method he can think of to stop the storm from coming. But no matter what he does, the storm remains out of his control, and begins to consume his thoughts. At school, he struggles to concentrate, he feels isolated and misunderstood, trapped with a terrible secret, and is labeled as a troubled child.
