Dr Fenia Christodoulidi: Understanding the Dual Heritage Experience
Full Course Title
Understanding the Dual Heritage Experience: Insights for Therapists and Educators
Summary of Training
How can therapists and educators better support dual-heritage individuals, children, young people and multicultural families? This engaging session explores the complexities of identity development, linguistic & cultural negotiations and relational dynamics that can arise when growing up or living in a host culture or multi-cultural family. Through research insights and reflective conversation, we’ll examine how dual-heritage individuals navigate cultural expectations and seek ways of parenting and working together in ways that support developing a balanced self-concept which goes beyond identifying as ‘half X’ and ‘half Z’ towards embracing wholeness and belonging.
Join us to deepen your understanding, enhance your professional practice, and contribute to more inclusive, culturally responsive support for diverse communities.
